Great location, wonderful host, and a pleasant stay. Positive: I spent 9 days in the apartment and overall had a good stay. The apartment is lovely, welcoming, and the location is excellent. The host was extremely kind and helpful 🫶🏻 Negative: A few improvements would make the apartment much more comfortable in summer. The main issue was the heat, because the apartment gets very warm during the day and the fan was not very effective. In the evening we would have liked to open the windows, but without mosquito nets the mosquitoes became a real problem. So we couldn’t really use either the windows or the fan properly, which was quite difficult with 37°C. The shower drain should also be checked as it got clogged quite often. Overall, a very nice stay with a truly lovely host, but a few practical improvements would make a big differece! 🙃

Positive: Dat er alles aanwezig was wat je nodig had. Negative: De houten vloer kraakt verschrikkelijk. Als je wat later gaat slapen als je volk over de vloer krijgt en je loopt rond, moet verschrikkelijk zijn voor de onderburen.

Spacious apartment in great location Positive: We had a very enjoyable week in the apartment. It's in a great location within easy walking distance of the historic centre but with its own neighbourhood bars, restaurants and shops. Marie was very helpful and communication was good. The apartment is airey and spacious with plenty of storage space. The shower works well. The kitchen is well equiped and we cooked a couple of times. We would happily visit again. Negative: Only minor issues. The toilet seat needs to be tightened and the bottom of the shower door is damaged. A couple more mugs and spoons would be useful. As others have mentioned, the stairs are difficult, a steep spiral which is a challenge with luggage, but I think this is the nature of buildings in this area. We found a light switch on the ground floor which lit up all floors so didn't have difficulty with lighting.

Warm Christmas break in Antwerpen Positive: The title of the listing is not lying - the location is great! The city center is very close and the neighbourhood is both quiet and full with food places and other facilities. Super option for Christmas break! The host is very attentive. She sent us all check-in instructions in advance and helped us with some issues during our stay. The apartment itself is spacious, comfy and warm. Overall, we had a good time staying there! Negative: The apartment needed some maintenance in some areas. It is situated on 2nd floor with steep Dutch style stairs. It was fine for us, can be a problem for others. The bed is comfortable but pillows could be better - too small and almost flat.
